The Verbier Festival is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Fuller as Head of International Touring and Projects for the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. This newly created role will be focused on expanding the activity of the VFCO throughout the year, building touring and digital projects worldwide.

Fuller has had a long association with the Verbier Festival, and was one of the founding players of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra when it began in 2005. He has since forged a dual career as both a double bass player and classical music executive. Originally hailing from the United States, Fuller has been a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London since 2010, during that time also serving as Interim CEO and Board Chair.

It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to work towards realizing the ambitions of the VFCO, one of the world’s most distinctive chamber orchestras and worldwide ambassador for the Verbier Festival. With the release of the full cycle of Beethoven Symphonies with Music Director Gábor Takacs-Nagy on Deutsche Grammophon, this is the perfect moment to launch our aspirations for the future.”
