A BEETHOVEN JOURNEY

Gábor Takács-Nagy’s highly-anticipated interpretations of the complete Beethoven symphonies, recorded live from the Verbier Festival are now available on Verbier Festival Gold, the joint venture record label between The Verbier Festival and Deutsche Grammophon.

Recorded over a thirteen-year period of cherished collaboration, the charismatic Hungarian conductor led the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra on a spiritual 13-year journey through the cycle.

Commenting on the collaboration with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, Gábor Takács-Nagy said: “The relationship we have – rooted in fearlessness, equality, and discovery – is indescribable.”

The resultant cycle of recordings captures the ensemble’s liberated and transformative account of these masterworks, approaching each opus with a sense of spontaneity, insight, and joy.
